Webmail Update 4.2.3

FEB 2011 - There is now a brand new version of webmail. The main change is how the log-in works. You will need to enter your email address instead of selecting a user from the dropdown box.

Example.... The user name yourdomain_name
becomes name@yourdomain.com

The security code option only operates if there is a failed log-in - you don't need to enter every time you log-in as before.

Why Change Webmail?

The new webmail is an upgrade in terms of security and features. It mirrors well-known mail programs such as Hotmail and Yahoo. If you have any problems or comments please contact us.

Client Accounts Online

New for 2011
TSM will offer all clients an online record and reference for site development, invoicing and news updates. The aim is to provide a complete summary you can access at any time. We will be sending out more information and access details shortly.

Price Increases

TSM aims to keep design and SEO prices reasonable and competitive. Unfortunately we need to raise design prices this year to keep pace with the economy - the hourly rate for design is now 510TB per hour (from 475TB). Hosting charges remain unaffected.

Google Instant

September 2010 - Google have now added 'Google Instant' to the search input box. This updates the results as you actually type in each keyword - plus the listings will adjust according to further keywords as you go.

Some users dislike this feature and turn it off (there's an option next to the search input box). However, it is on by default and we need to consider that most users will not change this.

Google claims 'Google Instant' doesn't have an impact on ranking of search results. TSM are testing this, and so far conclude that longer search phrases may lose out in some cases.

We think it could mean shorter keyword searches by the user - if there is activity going on as keywords are typed in, the users eye and attention may naturally wander to early results; they may not continue on and use the keywords or phrase they originally intended.

TSM Hosting Upgrade September 2010

All hosting services have been upgraded. More space, bandwidth and improved webmail are all part of the upgrade. Existing customers will be upgraded automatically and the cost remains the same.
